As we advance the cause of Net Zero within the field of construction, we aim to go beyond carbon neutrality. In fact, we already have.

SolarSpaces are built off site, adopting new industry standards of Modern Methods of Construction.  They cost no more to build than a traditional classroom, gym, office or any other space - but they deliver a whole lot more, including:

Integrated Solar PV – solar architecture, utilising roof and integrated wall panels, means our buildings generate more energy than the space needs.

Battery Storage – we need to store the excess solar power in order to ensure it’s available to draw upon when the building (or Electric Vehicle!) needs it.

Electric Vehicle Charging - it makes sense to charge your car from your own renewable power generation, as delivered by the integrated solar panels. This facility is supercharged with the addition of our SolarCatcher car charging canopies over adjacent car parks.

Smart Technology – in-built sensors allow you to control the security, lighting, heat and power; remotely, using your smartphone, or voice activated.

Airtight and Thermally Insulated – heat escapes easily from buildings that are not airtight and passes easily through walls (and roofs) that are poorly insulated.

Heat Pumps – air source pumps are a super-efficient heat source for well insulated buildings.

Fresh Air – mechanical ventilation with heat recover keeps the air fresh, and as warm as required.

Rainwater Harvesting – automatically re-cycles water within the building, using software that works with our integrated ‘smart’ sensors.

Heating, cooling and powering buildings accounts for nearly half of the CO2 released into the atmosphere – global warming. If all buildings could generate their own energy from sources that don’t require fuel, the threat from climate change would literally be halved.
